Employ people that are right for the job not people that look right for the job, having the wrong people can cost you a lot, it is advisable to train personnel’s after recruiting them. Employ at least one expert and one experienced person in the field because a great team is better than a great product. “If you pick the right people and give them the opportunity to spread their wings and put compensation as a carrier behind it, you almost don’t have to manage them.” Jack Welch.
2.      7. COMMUNICATION:  pay attention to your staff as much as you pay attention to your customers, they are the back bone of your business make them comfortable and your work place conducive for them to work.
Your workers can’t meet your target if they don’t know your target make it clear to them on a daily basis if necessary. Your customers and partners won’t find you if you can’t effectively tell what it is you have to offer, how it meets their needs and why they should patronise you. Be proactive at all times.
3.     8. BUDGET:  cash flow problems is one of the main reasons businesses close their doors, without cash you can’t produce or run your service this is why budgeting is very essential to both existing and new businesses. Spend your cash with great care and don’t invest in an unprofitable business except of course you want your business to fold.
4.    9.  NETWORK: “business is not just doing deals. Business is having great products, doing great engineering and providing tremendous service to customer. Finally business is a cobweb of human relationship” Henry Ross Perot. It is generally said that no man is an island, you need others in growing your business, and it is your duty as an entrepreneur to cement relationships with peers, mentors and key players in your field. A network of people provides direction, support and a handful of people to help.
5.     10. ADAPTABILITY: “willingness to change is strength.”  Jack Welch. The business world is dynamic, changing with the years and the seasons, your ability to adapt allows you to respond to circumstances and stay competitive.
